Sultry, moody and hypnotic, Khan's electronic soundscapes draw listeners in and envelop them in lustrous sheets of sound. Khan is adept at creating a wide variety of sonic textures via synths and samplers, but no matter how many shimmering layers of sound come and go in these arrangements, an agreeable sense of space is maintained.

While Khan is capable of whipping up engrossing all-instrumental tracks powered by low-key hip-hop beats, he's not afraid to add a vocalist to the mix. Singer Julee Cruise lends her appropriately understated talents to the quietly trippy "Body Dump" and "Nowhere." For the most part, though, it's Khan's show, and he delivers the goods with ingenuity and sensuality.
